Amazing!

About three and a half weeks ago my 45 year old son had to have his left leg amputated above the knee

. I am amazed at how well he has done. We installed another hand rail in the stairway and with it he is able to go up and down stairs and he is capable of doing a lot more than I thought he ever could.
When I came home from town yesterday the garbage had been taken out- I was shocked.
This is his FB post:

Just took the garbage out..bet that was a sight watching me in my wheel chair pushing the garbage cans down the driveway with my foot lol

Mourning Miss Molly Moo

My husband of 34 years passed away seventeen months ago. I turned to our Basset Hond Molly for comfort. Taking care of her gave me a purpose in life.Molly turned 12 about a month ago; We got her when she was six weeks old.
Last Tuesday night she became gravely ill. What no one knew she had a large tumor in her stomach-and when they found it on Xray Wednesday morning she was in extreme pain, in liver and kidney failure. The only choice was too euthanize her to end her suffering. My heart is broken and I am devastated. I hope she truly has crossed Rainbow Bridge.

My Garden Beets

Pulled six beets from the garden yesterday- then made pickled beets.

Those six beets yielded three pints.
