Painted Snowman Tin


This tin is painted in a cutesy prim style- I love the snowman's face.
The tin is a recycled one and is fairly large.
After the painting was finished I spatered the whole tin with the same off white.

Candy Cane Snowmen

These little candy cane snowman ornies look great hanging on a tree or in a wooden trencher with some rosehips.
The snowman head is attched to the candy cane with greenery and burgundy pip berries behind the snowman's head. His hat is a small homespun check with warm & natural batting for the fur and a rusty jingle bell at the tip.

Folk Art Bird Pinkeep

The bottom of this pinkeep is made from coffee dyed cream wool. The bird is made from a black flannel reproduction calico print. Thw wings are hanstitched on and the gusset has handstitched x's in black,

Folk Art Bird Makedo




This makedo is made from a tan on tan reproduction calico print. The wings are handstitched on and the gusset is decorated with black hand stitched x's.

The eye is black thread tuck stitches. The bird is mounted on a black painted wood candlestick.

It is 1o 1/2" tall and the bird has machine stitching on the tail to make it look like tail feathers.

The bird is 9 1/2 " long.

Jerusha Wheat- Redwork Sampler


This sampler started out as a free pattern but soon into the stitching I decided to create my own sampler as a tribute to my 6th great grandmother Jerusha Wheat. She was born in 1746 in Killingly, CT to Dr Salmon Wheat and Mercy Gale Wheat.
It has been stitched with as rusty, burgundy red floss on 18 count Khaki aida that has been coffee dyed and then spotted with coffee to give it an authentic aged look from that time period.
It is framed in a black wooden frame. Outside dimensions of frame 7" x 9".

Tan Calico Prairie Bonnet

This bonnet is reminiscent of the kind of bonnet my great, great, grandmother Sarah wore during her days on the Illinois Prairie in the 1800's. It is a big bonnet with the brim being 7 1/2 inches wide and the skirt is 9 1/2 inches long. It is made of a tan calico with a small white print on the tan backgound. The skirt of the bonnett has a pleat on each side and four pleats across the back. This bonnet will make a great primitive decorative addition to your home.
